2000 Acura Integra GS

Say hello to my 2000 Acura Integra GS! Not exactly the fastest car in the world… but it’s so much fun to drive. Yeah, I wish I had picked up a GSR or Type-R instead… but it’s unbelievably hard to find one that hasn’t been modded and beat up. Not to mention they were a little out of my price range at the time and co-op pay isn’t *that* great to begin with.  Anyway, there’s nothing quite like gunning down an empty SW Marine Drive at 3am in this little beast. Good evening, from Miyajima!

After leaving Osaka this morning, we took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Hiroshima. From Hiroshima, we took a smaller train to the Hiroshima port, and took a ferry over to the beautiful island of Miyajima!

Miyajima is absolutely beautiful. There’s a mountain (Mount Misen), and a whole bunch of shrines/temples. But most the most memorable image of Miyajima is that of the “floating” torii-gate, pictured above. It’s not actually “floating” but it was built far enough out from the port, that when the tide is high, the base is hidden – thus giving the impression that it’s ‘floating’ on water! We found a nice spot to snap a few photos at sunset – and it was gorgeous.

Heading out for a bit… but more to come!

hello from tokyo!

Hello from TOKYO! I’ve been in Japan for the last 5 days, and I’ll be here for about 10 more. I’ve got a lot of awesome content coming in the near future! I’ve been on a mission to drink every single vending machine drink, eat the most delicious ramen, and snap photos of the most beautiful districts in Tokyo.

Tokyo at night is absolutely amazing.

I will also be visiting Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Miyajima, and Kobe in addition to Tokyo – and a few other cities along the way. If you have a suggestion – hit me in the comments! The picture above just a small preview of my adventures in Japan… so stay tuned!

Oh, and Canon s90 – I heart you. so much.
