Through the levels of comodification along with layers and layers of misconception and lies, the basic level of what constitutes the start of the construction of it all is rawness, perhaps the most vital component of all.
A successful song is created with the music provided by the producer. Its features are conjoined with affiliations, but the essential part of a song is it’s lyrics, the raw usage and flow of one’s ability to convey literature. People who listen to music nowadays may be all tricked. They focus on the beat of the music, which is indeed important, but it is not as crucial as the lead performer of the song. Even that being said, people have the wrong interpretation of artists nowadays. In the music industry, many people are only successful due to the bombardment of marketing and heavy rotation on radio or commercial play, leaving true talented and skilled rappers, singers, and vocalists out of the picture of success.
Moving on to the evolution of how music is distributed, it has transformed from a practice of high culture commodity into a widely-distributed channel of low culture fan frenzy. Back in the days, music was a form of high culture due to the fact that there wasn’t a lot of people that could afford a record player and purchase vinyls. Nowadays, not only that you can download music for free online, you can also purchase CDs and play them with many different pieces of technologies that your household would already have. People loved vinyl despite of the fact that it was much bigger. The sound quality between music from a vinyl record might not be easily heard by the average Joe, but true music lovers still appreciate the rawness that a vinyl can produce. From the drop of a needle, through the scratches it goes and through due to prolonged play time, the rawness of a vinyl record will be forever cherished.
Photographers nowadays have the ability to edit their unfinished products through technology. A digital photograph will always be criticized as being edited or post finished. That’s probably one of the main reasons why people enjoy the preservation of film, it’s rawness not only proves the photographer’s ability to execute a shot without robotic settings, but a photograph shot by film is a collective of the eye of the photographer along of his ability to control the settings of a traditional camera, not a gloried piece of electronic device.
Women nowadays are so decorated with layers of make-up that the question of natural beauty is completely of the equation. Not only is there a rise in plastic surgery and blast implementation, the girls that men is supposedly to like all fit the perfect marketing formula. People have forgotten the rawness portrayed from females, and have all been following a set of formula of heavy make up and surgery which at the end, leads to a total of complete false manipulation.
Rawness will forever be respected by the ones that truly appreciate life in an angel that might be forgotten or masked, but when reevaluated, it is in-arguably the most HYPED.
